The major conference “Electric Vehicles Asia“ commences 26 January. The four day event, including business and technology workshops, will be an opportunity for the EV community to gain greater insight towards the potential present in the Asia market, and explore business opportunities. cars21.com will report live.
Asian metropolitan centres such as Singapore, Soul and Hong Kong are becoming increasingly aware of the responsibilities they have in curtailing the climatic challenges facing the world in the coming decades. Outside of Japan it is these centres that will become the first to adopt legislation prompting wider use of EVs and PHEVs. With a focus on the Asian market the “Electric Vehicles Asia – Exploring Commercial Opportunities for EVs in Asia” is as timely as ever for companies and entrepreneurs looking to enter the Asian market. Almost 75% of delegates will represent Asia.

Electric Vehicles Asia will host 18 different workshops focusing of EV growth opportunities in Asia. Themes of the conference will include (Participants can expect at least two presentations of workshops for every theme):

Pre and Post events

EVA will also host a pre – conference workshop on January 26 that will focus on understanding the key drivers to making plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and vehicle to grid a success in Asia. This will highlight the promotion of new technologies in Asia and key trends and drivers pushing alternatives to petroleum in Asian public policy. The Post work shop on January 29 will highlight the EV infrastructure development and site tour to Hong Kong’s CLP power charging station.

The event will provide attendees with an opportunity to network with policy makers and high-level business representatives.
