The B2B platform for full-electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles: Industry News

The European Association for Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles has joined the business-to-business platform for the electric vehicle community to raise awareness of the huge opportunities provided by electric mobility.

AVERE is a non profit-making association, founded in 1978 under the aegis of the European Community, as a European network of industrial manufacturers and suppliers for electric vehicles. The Association's goal is to promote the use of Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles and to rationalise the efforts of its member companies in the scientific and technological developments. Composed of 13 national associations, with 4 new countries in the process of joining (Slovenia, Czech Republic, Greece and Austria) AVERE indirectly represents over 500 companies active in the field. With EDTA, covering the Americas, and EVAAP, covering Asia Pacific, AVERE forms the World Electric Vehicle Association.

Together, the three associations have been active in organising the Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exposition (EVS) events - the last one being held in Stavanger this year - that are now recognised as the premier event for academic, government and industry professionals involved in electric drive technologies. The EVS series began in 1969 as an academic forum for global networking and the exchange of technical information. Today, the EVS series has evolved into the largest forum showcasing all forms of technologies in the market place and on the drawing boards.

AVERE joining cars21.com
