New members for AVERE to promote Electric Vehicles

The European Association for Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles AVERE is welcoming new partners from Austria, Slovenia, Greece and the Czech Republic to strengthen, also with the support of cars21.com, the European network of industrial manufacturers and suppliers for electric vehicles.
Together with EDTA, covering the Americas, and EVAAP, covering Asia Pacific, AVERE forms the World Electric Vehicle Association. With the 4 new countries joining, AVERE indirectly represents over 500 companies active in the field.

Elektromobily.org Association in the Czech Republic

The Elektromobily.org Association was founded in 1980 and has currently close to 80 members, including Czech E.ON. and Skoda. Examples of the association’s present activities are the following:
  • European charging points map: www.pluginmap.eu, currently listing 133 charging stations. New charging stations in Prague are planned; E.ON is planning new charging stations in the north and south of the Czech Republic.
  • EV Conversion: Conversion of Skoda Superb into an EV “Superbel” www.superbel.cz on which the association is working in cooperation with Skoda Auto, Brno University of Technology, EVC Group and Aufeer Design.
  • EV city car: Work on a brand new electric city car “Egg Intuo”
DEVS - Slovenian Electric Vehicles Association

Founded in 2008, the DEVS forms today the society for the advancement of electric vehicles in Slovenia. Present activities include:
  • Monthly lectures, media coverage and meetings
  • International event organisation and participation
  • Conversion of conventional vehicles to electric propulsion
  • Studies and educational activities
BVmobil - Austrian Sustainable Mobility

The new association founded in 2009 brings together sustainable mobility clubs, companies, organisations and individuals that are experts in the field of sustainable transportation. Key goals and main activities include the exchange of information, studies, and test results in the field of sustainable mobility as well as public relations and lobbying activities in Austria. Similarly, European and global networking is the goal of the association.

Hellenic Institute of Electric Vehicles

The Hellenic Institute of Electric Vehicles (HEL.I.E.V.) claims to be an internationally recognised, scientific and non-for-profit organization in Greece promoting environmentally friendly and energy conscious ways of mobility. The majority of HEL.I.E.V.'s active Members are professors in Universities or Polytechnic schools, production engineers, researchers etc.

The European Association for Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles AVERE is a non profit-making association, founded in 1978 under the aegis of the European Community, as a European network of industrial manufacturers and suppliers for electric vehicles. The Association's goal is to promote the use of Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles and to rationalise the efforts of its member companies in the scientific and technological developments.
