This is seen as a main prerequisite in order to operate electric vehicle fleets more efficiently, increase productivity and reduce costs at the same time, improve safety, and cut greenhouse emissions. Agreements with Coulomb Technologies and TEPCO In January this year, Aker Wade announced an agreement with Coulomb Technologies to deploy Level III networked fast-charging stations for EVs worldwide. The charging stations will be co-developed, distributed, marketed and supported by both companies. In addition, they will be designed in accordance with the TEPCO Level III specifications and qualified for use with several electric vehicle brands. Also beginning 2010, Aker Wade concluded a license agreement to incorporate Tokyo Electric Power Company’s (TEPCO) patented technology as the first U.S. manufacturer. The agreement includes the manufacturing and marketing of Level III DC fast chargers for EVs. Reactions Aker Wade CEO Bret Aker stated: “We are excited to be a partner of cars21.com.
